Ko Akasaka tsuba, ca Early Edo. Featuring Wild Geese, Peony and Ginger plant. Possible 2nd master Tadamasa or the 3rd Master Tadatora or a student thereof. This guard has design elements related to that period and style. Excellent iron, some pitting on the mimi.
